1. Overview
ARIS IntelliSense ("the Extension", "we", "us") is a Visual Studio Code extension developed and maintained by Hassan Raafat. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Extension and its associated subscription service.
By installing the Extension or purchasing a subscription, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. What We Collect
Account & Subscription Data
- Email address (required to activate subscription)
- Full name (provided at checkout)
- GitHub ID (optional, if you sign in with GitHub)
- Subscription plan, status, and renewal dates
- Payment transaction records (processed by Lemon Squeezy — we do not store card details)
Device & License Data
- Machine ID (anonymous hardware identifier to enforce device limits)
- Number of registered devices per account (maximum 2 per license)
- Device registration and last-seen timestamps
What We Do NOT Collect
- Your source code, ARIS scripts, or any file contents
- Keystrokes, editor content, or clipboard data
- browsing history or website tracking pixels
- Credit card or bank details (handled entirely by payment processor)
3. How We Use Your Data
- To verify your subscription status when the Extension starts
- To enforce device limits (maximum 2 machines per license)
- To process payments and send subscription confirmation emails
- To respond to support requests sent via the contact form
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the licensing system
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Lemon Squeezy — processes subscription payments as merchant of record. Subject to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
GitHub OAuth — optional sign-in method. Subject to GitHub's Privacy Statement. We only receive your GitHub user ID and public profile name.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription and for up to 12 months after expiry, to facilitate reactivation. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us — see Section 8.
6. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are not stored. Payment data is never stored on our servers — all transactions are handled by our payment processor. Database access is restricted and credentials are never exposed publicly.
7. Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. Session storage may be used temporarily during checkout to correlate your subscription to a completed payment — this data is never persisted beyond your browser tab session.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent (this will deactivate your subscription)

10. Changes to This Policy
